私： found someone reviewing your new title. Does a physical book come out at the same time as an ebook or later?
ジョーダン： (my name), it will be another couple of weeks until the paperback comes out. I'm making them concurrently but I've run out of time.
私： Thanks Jordan, I'm looking forward to the day when I can add another Psycop title in my collection. BTW, I wore the T-shirt with *cripes* on this summer a lot, but nobody, not even bilingual friend, was able to guess what it means, so I enjoyed talking about how I came to know the word.^^
ジョーダン： What a fun conversation starter. Is there a Japanese word that means anything similar that you could compare it to?
私： Oh yes, lots of words and phrases you can find in Japanese, since we have many regional expression or words exclusively used certain kind of groups of people like Yakuza. Are you familiar with Yakuza, kind of equivalent to mafia. They got expressions I'd dare NOT to use. Also we have lots of onomatopoeia in Japanese, so cripes would be translated into Japanese as onomatopoetic word/sound, I guess.
私： Sorry to bother you, Jordan, but could I use this conversation in my blog?, which is for young Japanese learners of English and I'd like to show them how they can actually use English skills in a fun way.
ジョーダン： Absolutely, (my name)! I'd be honored.
私: Thank you for your generosity. The blog is written almost all in Japanese, but I'll message a link to it anyway later.
